Articles

Please see below for a list of articles concerning Curt's case. The current articles are based on the press releases the family and police made last week.

The original AP article written based on those releases contains some errors and misrepresentations. Please keep these facts in mind when reading the articles:

The family has ties for three generations to New Hampshire, not Seabrook specifically.

Curt was declared legally dead this year, though the process began last year.

In a more recent article the car fire was stated to be arson. The insurance company was not able to determine the cause of the fire, though it was suspicious. No accelerants were found.

The statement that Curtis was "oddly calm" following the fire is the opinion of one responding fire fighter in Seabrook. It is not the opinion of the family that Curt being 'calm' following such an event is odd. Curt was a quiet man who often internalized his feelings, especially around strangers. It is also likely that he was in shock after the fire, though he did call to report it and attempted to put it out with the small fire extinguisher he had available to him.
